Magazine cover research - James Bond

Magazine cover research

Masthead - Positioned behind the main image, signifying the image's importance and also showing consumers the magazine is well enough known to still be identified with part of the text covered. This adds importance and value to the brand itself.

Strap line - No reference to any specific films that Daniel Craig is in. Shows that he is a big enough star to be identified without need of a title and emphasises his quality of work.

Superlatives - "Greatest characters" and "rocked our world" places emphasis on the significance on the characters and "our" connects with the audience as individuals.

Main image - Shot of Daniel Craig looking into the distance wearing a suit and looking casual while wielding a gun. This suggests to the audience that he is used to being in dangerous situations while maintaining class with his suit.

Background - The use of a dark grey gradient background was used because it is a strong contrast to the red and white used in the cover, helping the bold text and main image stand out.

Website - The use of a website allows magazines to target audiences on multiple platforms, this means the 15-30 age group typically targeted by thrillers have a vaster range of access to information about the film.
